Studying at DiSCi

Programmes designed to develop solid competencies, guide career choices, explore interests and nurture passions.

Studying at the Department of History, Culture and Civilisation means developing critical tools and interdisciplinary competencies to interpret the transformations of societies across time and space.

Our degree programmes address topics related to history, archaeology, anthropology, geography, religions and cultural heritage, linking research, the local area and society.

The programme is characterised by the dialogue between different disciplines, a focus on research, international outreach and ongoing engagement with cultural institutions, public bodies, schools and organisations active at both national and international levels.

The programme is enriched through laboratory activities, fieldwork, archaeological expeditions, internships and collaborations with museums, archives, libraries, cultural organisations and public administrations. These activities enable students to apply the knowledge they have acquired and to engage with real-world professional contexts.

A training programme combining theory and practice

One of the key features of the degree programmes offered by DiSCi is the integration of knowledge acquired in the classroom with its practical application in the field, through laboratory work and participation in archaeological missions organised by the department.
