Program

The exhibition presents to the public 57 objects of significant historical importance over a period spanning 600 years (1300-700 BCE), of which 28 unpublished and 29 – although they had been published previously (but in many cases nothing more was known about their whereabouts) – presented there with new data, photos and interpretations. Sculpture fragments from the 10th century BCE found in the new Turco-Italian excavations at Karkemish have been joined to those exhibited in the main hall of the Ankara Museum thanks to the support of the SANKO Holding
