Partisan Actions and Nazi/Fascist slaughters in Emilia Romagna

A list of partisan actions and slaughters mad by the Nazis and the Fascists from the 8th of September 1943 to the end of April 1945.

The database collects documents from the Italian, German and the allied forces Archives. The research group was coordinated by Luciano Casali and Dianella Gagliani with collaboration from Pietro Albonetti and Mariuccia Salvati.


A list of Partisans from Emilia-Romagna. The project has been created with a grant offered by several institutions:

    • the Regional Committee for the 60th Anniversary celebrations of the Resistance,
    • the Dean of the Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna,
    • the Department of History, Anthropology and Geography
    • the regional national Italian Partisan Association (ANPI),
    • the military  district of Bologna,
    • the F. Parri Institute and the network of historical institutes for the Resistance available in the Region.

The database was set up by a research group made up of Margherita Becchetti, Michele Bellelli, Enrica Cavina, Elena Cortesi, Serena Groppelli, Emanuele Guardaldi, Simona Mantovani, Luca Pastore and Agata Perticone. The research was coordinated by Luciano Casali and Alberto Preti with the collaboration of Sara Galli ( secretary)

Political Propaganda in the construction of the communist identity in Emilia Romagna

An analytical census of primary sources about the Italian Communist Party in Emilia Romagna in the 50' and 60'. The census of the information brought findings about original documents kept in the Pci Archives in Bologna, Modena, Reggio Emilia, Parma, Piacenza, Ferrara, Ravenna and Forlì.  
The work has been achieved by a group of scholars and researchers coordinated by Alberto De Bernardi, Alberto Preti  and Fiorenza Tarozzi.
