Research activities

The laboratory Spaces, processes and urban transformations focuses on the critical analysis of contemporary urban processes. At the conclusion of the lab students acquire knowledges about the theoretical and empirical interpretation of these critical processes. They also know the main theoretical thoughts, concepts and paradigms and can apply empirical research methods for the investigation and the understanding of urban phenomena.

Teaching activities

The laboratory is divided in three parts:

 -First part (20 hours): Seminars by the professors of the master course in Geography. Introduction to urban geography research.

- Second part (20 hours): Seminars by invited scholars and researchers. Theoretical aspect, methodology and empirical case studies.

- Third part (20 hours): Empirical field research. Focus group.
