Description
Activities carried out:
- Annual concerts and theatrical performances during the summer period, in collaboration with local and heritage institutions.
- Creation of a permanent exhibition featuring videos and 3D reconstructions, panels, and educational paths at the archaeological site through the use of beacons, brochures, and guides, including digital formats. Development of communication and publicity materials for the archaeological site and the surrounding area; digital content accessible through portable devices.
- Open Excavation Days to periodically showcase the progress of research; public presentation of excavation campaign results; seminars and conferences.
- 2021-2023: Technical and scientific support for the needs of the Municipality of Monte Rinaldo (preventive archaeology, emergency archaeology, surveying, and documentation), including the recovery, consolidation, and redevelopment of buildings damaged by the 2016 earthquake, through funds allocated to the municipalities in the Marche Region that fall within the "Earthquake Crater" (Municipalities in the Marche Region affected by the earthquakes in Central Italy following the events of August 24, October 26, and October 30, 2016, as indicated in Annexes 1 and 2 of Legislative Decree no. 189 of October 17, 2016, converted into law with Law no. 229 of December 15, 2016).

Objectives and Engaged Audiences
Events to communicate and share the results of the annual research conducted at Monte Rinaldo, involving citizens, local institutions, protection authorities, scientific partners, and the local community. Education and training aimed at local communities, particularly participants of school age (children and youth). Communication of research results; valorization of the local area and cultural heritage; dissemination and promotion of the archaeological site through initiatives targeting residents, local and non-local communities, institutions, students, and primary and secondary schools.
Impact and Evaluation Tools
Impact: dissemination and sharing of knowledge with a diverse audience (citizens, institutions, local authorities, students) estimated on the basis of the number of participants/audience members; collaboration with local entities and institutions for the protection of the local area and cultural heritage; scholarships and internships for university students. The archaeological area attracts approximately a thousand visitors each year, including dozens of school classes. Quantitative measurement of attendance and participation: attendance and media coverage; press reviews; measurement of attendance (access, tickets, views).
Of the many events, the ‘Concerto di Dardust Lost in Space’ held on June 2, 2020 at the Archaeological Area of Monte Rinaldo was aimed at a national and international audience who were able to enjoy it through live streaming during the period of pandemic restrictions; the recording is still available on the web and social media platforms. The event was also promoted by the Archaeological Park of Pompeii (evaluation tools: very high number of views [87,122]; national and international media coverage on social media and other popular websites such as the Pompeii Park website).
