Intercultural connections, Identities, alterities, differences. Contrasting models and transformations
Context
Within the UNIBO-UDEM Project towards the creation of a Joint research Lab UdeM-UNIBO the Centre d'études classiques - Département d'Histoire of the Université de Montreal, and the Department of History and Cultures of the University of Bologna will organize the two following events:
- A scientific Meeting on the "Intercultural exchanges, contrasting models and transformations. Capital cities in Late Antiquity as a case study." taking place in Bologna on October 23rd and 24th 2018.
- A graduate career workshop taking place on October 24th on the topic: Relevance of the ancient world: Intercultural connections, Identities, alterities, differences. Contrasting models and transformations.
Dates of the Career Development Workshop
Within this scientific meeting the project is organizing a special workshop for MA Students and PhD candidates interested in international career development to take place on October 24th from 3-6 PM.
Within the special workshop the international scientific commettee of the Joint Lab will advice and train graduate students on elaboration of an international research career with special emphasis on – but not limited to - the collaboration between UNIBO and UdEM.
Selected applicants who are not enrolled in the University of Bologna will be granted hospitality in Bologna for October 23rd and 24th 2018 in order to be able to participate in the Workshop and in the scientific Meeting. Reimbursement for travel is not foreseen at the moment but a small contribution may be granted to the first selected applicants up to 500 Euros.
