Seminar and workshop organized by Zelda Franceschi and Nicola Renzi.

  • Data: 18 marzo 2025 dalle 13:00 alle 16:00

  • Luogo: Aula 3, Via Zamboni 32, Bologna (accesso da Via del Guasto, 3 )

In this workshop Sámi Indigenous professor Hanna Guttorm shares her path as an autoethnographer, a nomadic researcher. With post structuralist and new materialist theories as well as Indigenous ontologies and methodologies it has become possible to challenge the normative scientific practices and bring Life as messy and entangled to the front, as well as find ways to make texts both personal and scientifically evocative.

Hanna Ellen Guttorm, PhD, fumbles to learn a more sustainable way of living on the Earth in-between Indigenous and Non-Indigenous worlds as well as in-between arts and sciences. She has revitalised the language and culture of her father, Indigenous North Sámi, as well as she moves, thinks, feels, and is affected within the discourses and materialities of which she happens to live. She works as a senior researcher at the University of Helsinki focusing on Indigenous Studies and is a member of Helsinki Institute of Sustainability Sciences. She also works part time as an Associate Professor in Sámi teacher education at the Sámi University of Applied Sciences in Guovdageaidnu.
